"We contacted The Romy Fund to see if they could help fund a Tomcat tricycle for our daughter Poppy and we were delighted when they agreed to help us!
Poppy is now 8 years old, she was born with a rare genetic condition that has caused a whole range of health issues and along with many other things she has also had 2 open heart surgeries.
Poppy isn’t able to ride a normal bike but after she had a go on an adapted tricycle we knew we had to try and buy her one. The trouble with anything that is not mainstream is that it is incredibly expensive, we were so grateful to The Romy Fund for supplying Poppy with her trike. She loves going out on it, especially ringing the bell to let people know she is coming!
It gives her a chance to play just like any other child and it’s a great way of her exercising that otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to do."
